For this personal project I used the Yashica camera my grandfather left behind, capturing the ancient Ionian island he called home. Seeing Corfu through the same lens he once did and retracing his steps across this magical corner of Greece has been an experience I’ll carry with me forever. Growing up I heard endless stories about his hometown he had to leave during World War II. To see its breathtaking beauty with my own eyes has given me immense joy. These photographs are a love letter to him, to the memories we shared, and to the loved ones I’ve lost. A way for me to keep their stories and legacy alive.
